The Ubuntu hub webinars aim to engage those working in early child disability including the LSHTM ‘Ubuntu Hub’ global community of practice. This will be an engaging one hour online webinar exploring strategies and tools to support early identification of children with developmental disabilities.

Early identification of developmental disabilities is crucial to providing the right support at the right time for children and families. The webinar will include presentations on a variety of screening and assessment tools including the MDAT (Malawi Development Assessment Tool) and GMCD (Guide for Monitoring Child Development). This will be followed by a Q&A.

Attendees will learn about:

  1. The importance of early identification of young children with developmental disabilities
  2. Evidence-based screening and assessment tools adapted for resource-constrained environments
  3. Implementation strategies for community-based developmental screening programmes
  4. Have the opportunity to share experiences, ideas and learning with global expert panel 

This event is open to everyone with interest or experience in implementing programmes for children with developmental disability and their caregivers and will share learning from the Ubuntu Hub programmes.
